Chorley, St George, Bapt, Marr, Bur & MIs 1836-1900 (CD028)
The Parish Church of St George was consecrated in 1825 and divine service being held for the first time on 9 October. In 1831, a district was assigned to it and a parish was formally created in 1856. The clock was added about 100 years after the church was built. Chorley has a wealth of Churches and Chapels, St George’s is considered to be the most elegant.

The baptisms and burial are present in alphabetical order and date order from 1836 - 1900. The marriages are presented in groom order, bride order and date order. Also included is a Grave List and monumental inscriptions.

All the volunteers who have contributed to this project are members of the Chorley Branch of the Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society.
